According to patch.com, the New Hampshire State Police, Troop B have announced they will run a roadblock "DWI checkpoint") in the Bedford area this week. Usually, "this week" means Friday or Saturday evening.
DWI checkpoints pose a particular threat to drinking drivers because when judicially authorized and properly managed, they constitute a rare exception to the fundamental constitutional right to never be subject to random, suspicion-less detentions by the police. Read more about DWI checkpoints here.
If you're headed out to one of Bedford's excellent eating and drinking establishments, like Canoe or the Copper Door, make sure you have a designated driver, UBER / LYFT, or other plan for getting home safely. Otherwise, you may find yourself behind a different "copper door", locked in a cell at the State Police barracks! - ted
